I suspect that the adapter can work on other brands of players (i.e. the Sears 934.54780150). I would not pay $330 just to experiment though. When I bought my first CED player back in 1983 and if I had known that the stereo adapter was available, i would have bought the adapter with the player. But, I was a CED novice at the time and thought that a stereo player was unnecessary. haha thats what i was thinking the player is worth 50 bucks working, and the adapter is worth 150, unless it has like the original box and receipt lol _________________ (2)Sears 274 & 934(80150,10&11350), sft100, sgt250, sjt 090-400, vp550, VDR3000, VP2000 & 4000 complete '84 Dimensia Owner |

I don't have any schematics/info on that type of player. Mine is a re-branded Toshiba, can't remember what it is now? Wards? I'm not real experienced with a scope. When I played with it some trying to figure things out I got confused about milliseconds and microseconds (I think) and I spent about 36 hours trying to figure those units out or something like that. If someone has an idea of what to look for I could open mine up and look at it. I don't know what it needs to function. Just got it recently and haven't played with it yet. |

There was one for sale some years ago that was for a Sears player (I think). Those adapters are very rare. _________________ Sears 934.54780150 & 934.54810350 CED-1 Hitachi: VIP2000, 3-VIP1000, VIP201P GEN10301 RCA SJT-200 SJT-400 DiskLord DP-830 |

Ebay somewhat astounds me as to the high prices people may pay for items not worth anything and the low prices when I try to sell anything. The example I always remember, years ago on an old tractor forum someone posted a couple of links. One was to an old manual for a tractor and the manual was in the public domain so it could be downloaded legally. The other link was someone downloaded it and "burnt" it to a disc and then sold it for $90 and someone bought it. Most of the forum members stated they would probably pay the $90 for an actual original manual but this listing made it clear it had been downloaded and burnt to disc??? Usually when I sell something on there I look at completed listings for the item, and say selling prices were between $50 and $75. I then sell my item and get about $25 and then half the time the buyer complains about something that I have noted in the description 3 times! So it's like they read the title but don't bother to read the description. Unfortunately I have some radio shack shortwave receivers I'm thinking of listing. Don't even get me started on my bad luck selling items on craigslist. |

The box set consists of 4 LD's with the movie and a 5'th LD with a featurette of the making of the movie. Even though the cardboard box is a little worn, the 5 LD's are in very good to excellent shape. The seller could have easily set a price of $15 to $20 for the set. There is no explaining how prices are chosen. _________________ Sears 934.54780150 & 934.54810350 CED-1 Hitachi: VIP2000, 3-VIP1000, VIP201P GEN10301 RCA SJT-200 SJT-400 DiskLord DP-830 |

I know he has the Hitachi and Sears one's, this would complete his collection unless there is a Wards branded one too. As far as selling on ebay, I would agree with the both of you. I always get half of what an item normally sells for and then just like you said, buyer never reads the description then complains about something and half the time paypal refunds them their money. Paypal has never once sided with me. I don't sell on ebay anymore, way too much work for very little profit if any. |
